My journey with Beastly Gents started with wanting to grow my beard “out.” I always had a clip-cut beard – high n tight along the jawline. Growing a beard is the easy part. Maintaining and grooming are a bit more involved. The first thought I had was to treat my new length beard like the hair on my head. Wash, dry, and comb, right? Absolutely not!

You never go from being an apprentice beard owner to a master overnight. There are steps one needs to learn along the way. Karlo is the teacher/master of all beards: Cuts, Shapes, and Maintenance. Karlo is the one who will cut/shape your beard. You are the one that needs to maintain it.

Unfortunately, I did not start using Beastly Gents Beard Balm from the start. Speaking with Karlo about some issues I was experiencing, he recommended I start using beard balm. Karlo explained why I was having itching issues, dry skin flakes (Beard Dandruff), brittle, and flyouts.

I picked out a balm called Old School (scent of a classic barbershop) and started to use it. I figured I would try other manufacturers as well, for comparison purposes to see if there are any differences. I have to say. There are differences in each mfg’s products. Too oily/greasy feeling, too heavy, and initial overpowering scents. I even tried the DIY route and made my own batch, and I will NEVER do that again!

I went back to the original Beastly Gents Old School Beard Balm, and all the others went out the door. Each Beastly Gents Beard Balm has a pleasant subtle, even scent when first applied that does not overwhelm you. Beastly Gents Beard Balm application is easy to perform and relieves the itching/flaking, brittleness, and most flyouts (I still have one or two stubborn ones).

I have used all the Beastly Gents Beard Balm scents, except for No. Zero, but that is on my next purchase. Besides solving my beard and dry skin issues, Beastly Gents Beard Balm is not overly oily or heavy and penetrates quickly on my skin to absorb the oils it needs. I noticed my beard split ends (it is a thing!) had gone away. My beard is no longer brittle but soft and smooth, has become very manageable using a brush or comb to keep the shape.

I use and believe in the Beastly Gents Beard Balm product that I give to my family members who have beards as well. I will continue using Beastly Gents beard products to maintain my beard and to Enhance My Handsome!

The hand crafted beard balm is affordable with a good scent.  It has a creamy texture and leaves my beard soft without the extra oils.
